Dark Teal Coffee Table - SOLD

A few months ago we did a table that was the big sister to this coffee table (have a look here here). We came across this one and decided to do the same finish. It turned out well the first time and was a quick seller. The simple shape and turned legs make a statement without being too busy. Table has been painted with Homestead House milk paint in "Gaspe Green".

Antique Buffet/Server - SOLD

This very unique buffet was a pretty big mess when we got it. I don't think the previous owners had prepped the piece properly before they painted and it was covered in lumpy white paint and had broken appliques on the doors... we knew it would be a lot of work but the detailed backsplash was totally worth it. After hours of sanding and painting and sanding again we finally have a finished piece and its STUNNING. The details just pop and the colour is beautiful.

The lions on the ends of the backsplash are so unique and make it a total conversation piece.

The mix of old and new(ish) hardware was on the cabinet when we picked it up and we just LOVE the antique pulls and key holes on the drawers are really special.

Have a peak at this cabinet on Kijiji. http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-hutches-display-cabinets-Beautiful-Antique-Buffet-Server-Refinished-W0QQAdIdZ562884671

Square Coffee Table with Stained Top - SOLD

Character meets function with this great coffee table. We decided to try out a darker stain for the top and we're really happy with the results. The base has been painted with Homestead House "Limestone" milk paint, distressed and then sealed with all natural beeswax. The top has been sanded down and stained with dark ebony stain and then sealed with 2 coats of durable poly.

The legs are just the right amount of chunky and add lots of character.
A functioning drawer with matching wooden knob is a great bonus to hold remotes and odds and ends that pile up.

The Most Adorable Cedar Chest - SOLD

Can't you just imagine this in a little girls rom? The colour is so fresh and pretty. The white knobs and brass pop and add a feminine touch. Painted with Homestead House "Loyalist" milk paint, distressed and then sealed with all natural beeswax.

I love the square details and the round tapered legs.

Finding a chest with a working lock and a KEY is rare. This one works beautifully and can be locked for safety.
The bottom drawer is divided and can be used to store items that you need to get at on a regular basis.

A beautiful piece that would add charm and character to any room!

Black Vintage Buffet and China Cabinet - SOLD

We love this set! We originally purchased the cute china cabinet on Kijiji from someone in Hamilton and a couple weeks later found the buffet on Kijiji in Brantford and realized that they were part of a set and had it to have it!

The china cabinet is a great size and has loads of storage. I really like the grill and think that it softens the squareness (yes... I know. Not a real word) of the cabinet.

The buffet would make a great buffet but we think it would also be an awesome TV stand or hall cabinet.

These pieces are bold enough to make a statement but they also have great storage and loads of potential.

**UPDATE** the buffet has been SOLD.

Its Been A While!

Well with all the regular Christmas craziness our time to paint has been very minimal. We did a few custom pieces in the last few weeks but that's about it! Its been nice to have a break but at the same time we're anxious to get some new furniture up for sale.

To add to the busyness of the holidays we have a new addition to our family. Lucas Graeme was born Chistmas morning...

Lucas is Karen's first grandchild and my (Heather's) first nephew.

Anyway, stay tuned for new items to be posted in the next couple of days! We're looking forward to being up and running again :)
