Custom Order - Black Desk with Rope Moulding

We LOVE the way this desk turned out. There's so much character and charm. It did take a whole lot of work to get it to look this good though!

 

We the top drawer was originally a keyboard drawer and we needed to make a new drawer box for it. There was also loads of peeling veneer on the top and because the client wanted a stained top and we wanted to show off the rope moulding we ended up removing the old top, cutting out a new piece of cherry and reapplying the moulding. It works PERFECT and looks totally original. We left the hardware alone because the patina was great and went with the dark paint and stain. This piece is a transformation that we are super proud of and hope its enjoyed for many more years!

Pretty coral/pink table has been painted with Miss Mustard Seed's "Apron Strings" Milk Paint, lightly distressed and then sealed with all natural beeswax. The top has been stained walnut and then sealed with durable poly.

This lovely little sideboard has been refinished with black milk paint, distressed and then sealed with all natural beeswax. Top has been sanded, stained dark walnut and then sealed with two coats of durable poly. Great storage cabinet that can be used in any room.

Fill In The Blank Buffet/Media Cabinet - SOLD

Painted with a creamy off white milk paint, lightly distressed and then sealed with all natural beeswax. The top was stained a dark walnut and then sealed with 2 coats of durable poly. This lovely cabinet had some problems... like a missing door... but its now the perfect cabinet for storage baskets or as a great media cabinet/TV Unit. A small hole for electronic cables is already in the back.

Antique Stained Buffet - SOLD

Here's a pretty piece that is outside of are usual painted furniture comfort zone. We had a client come by to checkout a completely different piece but it ended up being the wrong size for their space... after they described what they would like we thought of this buffet and they loved it. It was pretty rough and needed some work but they saw the potential and so did we. We don't pick up many pieces that we would be able to stain and keep natural. Most need a lot of patching to get things looking good again. The original hardware was in excellent condition and helped to maintain the authenticity of the buffet.
